What it actually means白话说
移民局收到申请文件后寄来的通知书，表格编号多半是 Form I-797C（I-797 系列的一种）。它的意思是「我们收到了」。信上有一组 Receipt Number，上网查案件进度时输入的就是这组号码。
Common mistake常见的误会
Receipt Notice 不是批准，只代表「收到了」。批准的信叫 Approval Notice。两封信的抬头都有 Notice of Action 这几个词，要看 Notice Type 那一栏写的是哪一个词。
