進門通常先到 Start Here 或 Information 櫃檯拿號碼牌，再看螢幕等叫號；有些州不叫 DMV，叫 BMV、MVD 或 RMV，辦的是同一類的事。

- Window窗口（Window 5 就是 5 號窗口）

- Driver License駕照
- Permit學習駕照
- ID Card身分證（不開車也可以辦）
- REAL ID符合聯邦標準的駕照或身分證
- Application申請表
- Proof of Residency居住證明（證明你住在這一州）
- Vision Test視力檢查
- Knowledge Test筆試（考交通規則）
- Road Test路考

- Title車輛所有權狀
